The Door

door n.

1. A movable structure used to close off an entrance.
2. A doorway.
3. The room or building to which a door belongs.
4. A means of approach or access; a means of access or participation.

1 : a favorable juncture of circumstances <the halt provided an opportunity for rest and refreshment>
2 : a good chance for advancement or progress

What does door mean to you? What does door mean to anyone? In the definition listed above, you can see that each definition of a door has something to do with an entryway or a place of entry.

I find it interesting that the last definition is included: “a means of approach or access; a means of access or participation.” In the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, an associated word for “door” is “opportunity.” In this case, the first definition of opportunity is “a favorable juncture of circumstances.”

You can look at a door as a way to improve your life, or a way to help push yourself away from success. It seems it would definitely matter where the door is located, but really, your success or failure just depends on how you choose to use your door.

    An open door
    A closed door
    A foot in the door
A division or devider - Open or Closed
    Outside or Inside
I’ll let you in or keep you out
My Space - Hmm sounds like a good website
This could get really deep. Don’t have time so I’m gonna close the door for now (not slamming it, you won’t even hear the latch).

That’s good that you don’t slam it — cause I might be napping. heh heh.
